Institutional Scholarship Policy – Merit Scholarships & Freeships
Policy to foster academic excellence
1. Merit Scholarship
The college is providing Merit Scholarships for academically advanced students from all courses. The Exam Department provides the data of the students and the students are awarded cash prizes from each batch. A standard procedure is followed for the same.

- •The list of batch toppers and subject toppers must be declared by the Controller of Exams after the revaluation results are published for the respective academic year, to the staff secretary.
- •The Scholarships will be applicable only for the batches and courses running during the respective academic year.
- •While determining the list of students to be included for Merit Scholarships, the decision of the Controller of Examinations will be final.
- •The highest mark will be calculated based on the final mark obtained in the subject (including the CIA and ESE marks).
- •After the list is published, a suitable date, time and venue has to be fixed to disburse the Scholarships — the responsibility of the Vice Principal.
2. Fee Concessions / Waivers
In addition, the college also offers fee concessions/waivers to needy students enrolled in all programs. A standard procedure is followed for the same:
- The application is normally submitted at the time of admission for the new academic year.
- Students intending to avail this facility submit their application in a prescribed format to the Head of the Department.
- The Head of the Department scrutinizes the application based on the applicant's academic performance and economic background.
- The Head of the Department sends the application to the committee.
- The list will be finalized by the committee member.
